5th Annual

A Benefit for Corvallis High Football

Friday, May 31st 1:00pm Shotgun Start

The Corvallis High football program has put on an annual fundraiser event each spring since 2003.  Formerly known as 'Ribs & Helmets', these fundraisers have been great events for all attendees, young an old. They have given an opportunity for all "Spartans" to get together and reminisce about the old times. We have been blessed with great speakers in the past as well. Our honorary speakers have included:

  • Ad Rutschman in 2003-- Former Linfield Head Football Coach

  • Pat Lafferty in 2004-- Former Corvallis High/Portland Trailblazers PA announcer

  • Chuck Solberg in 2005-- Former Corvallis High Head Football Coach

  • Jay Locey in 2006-- Former Linfield Head Football Coach/Current OSU Assistant Coach

  • Bob Welch in 2007-- CHS grad & columnist for the Eugene Register-Guard

  • Kerry Eggers in 2008-- Published author & sports columnist for the Portland Tribune

  • Don Reynolds in 2009--Former Corvallis High & University of Oregon standout

  • Chuck Solberg in 2010-- To honor the 40 year anniversary of the 1970 State Champs

  • Robb Thomas in 2011--Former Corvallis High & Oregon State standout, 9 year NFL veteran

  • Drew Hubel in 2012--Former Corvallis High & Portland State standout

This years event will be our 11th annual fundraiser event.  We are excited to announce that the 5th Annual Spartan Pigskin Classic will be held this May 31st beginning at 1:00pm.  The Pigskin Classic includes a lunch, tee prize, dinner, silent auction, and a guest speaker.
